I am so excited to announce Family Matters is expanding! I have the pleasure of introducing two new therapists in addition to providing more evening and weekend hours to accommodate the needs of our clients.

Holly Spencer, MA TLLP

I have recently started my dream career; I graduated with my master’s degree in Clinical Psychology earlier this year. My clinical training is based on the Humanistic principle that people are individuals and require an individualized approach to therapy.  In my clinical work with clients, I utilize humanistic, cognitive-behavioral, psychoanalytic, and attachment theory interventions to develop a personalized treatment that works for my client’s unique needs. I have experience working with adults, adolescents, couples, and families.  I specialize in divorce, infidelity, depression, anxiety, and family conflicts with both adults and adolescents.

A fun fact about me is that I love the winter and would live in a cold climate all year if it was possible.

Rose Cook, MA TLLP

I earned a master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from the Michigan School of Psychology and another in Teaching from Wayne State University. I utilize my training in both Humanistic psychology and education to work with clients through life’s challenges. In the therapeutic setting, I provide a safe, judgment free space for individuals to work through concerns at their pace. My clients range in age from late adolescence thru mature adult. I specialize in working with individuals experiencing depression, anxiety, divorce concerns, trauma, chronic illness/pain, and those who provide caregiving services to others including family members. In treatment, my focus is on helping clients improve their mental, physical, and spiritual well-being.

A fun fact about me is that I began learning how to play the piano and to shoot pool at 4 years old.
